Reclaiming my Kitchen

What Jeremy’s Course inspired me to do was to reclaim my kitchen.  I reorganized the counter space so that I had counter space.  I replaced the old cutting boards.  I made plans to make new cutting boards for the insert spaces in my cabinets.  I threw out all the outdated spices and replaced them with new organic spices.  I updated my knife collection.  I reviewed my measuring devices. valuated and added to my pans.  I bought two (sauce and large frying pan) All-Clad Copper Core pans.

I now have a more efficient, fluid, andproductive cooking space.

O’Keefe and Merritt Vintage Gas Stove

I got my place super duper cleaned today.  I even had the bathtub steamed.  They took the whole top off my stove (which it was built to be able to do this) and cleaned everything out of there.  It was amazing.

We are spotless now. 😉

Taking a Cooking Course with Jeremy

I love cooking.  I dived into Single person cooking during the Covid Pandemic because a lot of folks I knew were home alone eating crap, feeding the downward spiral of depression.  I get it.  One of the priority self care steps is respecting your body with good food choices.  It is important and it’s not that difficult.  Exploring this idea was how The Courtesan Cookbook was born.  I will warn you now, I love my Barbi.

During Jeremy’s cooking course I was given the opportunity to refresh my cooking skills, and look at cooking from Jeremy Rock Smith’s point of view at a Kripalu Center for Wellness and Health class January 29 – February 5.  I learned and relearned so much.

Wait for you cooking surface to be hot (be it a pan or the grill).  It doesn’t take that long and it prevents food (especially meat) from sticking because it cooked into your surface.
