Dallas July 8 – 11

A new hotel experience for me, I very much enjoyed the Hyatt Regency.  I had an awesome view of thunder storms.

Speeding back to LA

Why?  Because I now am getting work in Los Angeles.  YAY!!! Whistles blowing, Horns tooting!!! It is terrific to work in LA!

The San Francisco Pride Parade

I drove up to San Francisco on Friday to visit my brother, Mark, for a couple days before the parade.  It is always good to connect with family.

The Pride Parade this year was awesome.  I stayed at the Carriage Inn which is one block from the end of the parade.  That means you have to walk to the front of the parade with your cart early in the morning, as 9 am is roll call.  It is an early to get there and then stand & wait kinda thing.  Fortunately, I am standing and waiting surrounded by Pups and Ponies.  so terrific to whinny and nuzzle my way through everyone.  I was assigned to pull a Leather Daddy who had his Pups on leash.   They were wonderful.  I loved the whole parade, trotting around, being a Pony, speedy towards fabulousity.

We celebrated with Indian food and coffee.  Huzzah!

Home in LA June 24 – 27

I like that my human Pony, Speckles, gives me a text wanting to practice our Pony Play together.  It makes me feel good to be wanted.  It reinforces that he likes our play as much as I do.  Up early, the morning in LA smells great.  We practice at Kenneth Hahn Park.  Love that park, so many different areas in one park, and it is huge, right in the middle of LA.  They keep it in good repair and pretty clean for being popularly used during the day and weekends.  At 7:30 am, it is pretty empty, which is why we are there at that time.  Our practices are just as much for me to get back into being ablt to rein and cue well, as for Speckles to move correctly.  He is a dear Pony to me.

Philadelphia June 4 – 9

Not only did I have a fabulous week exploring BDSM, I got to walk around New Hope Peddler’s Village and Le Chateau on Main Street and a Sadderly Shoppe.  I think I found the most goodies that delighted me at the latter.

Bonus:  I marched in the Philadelphia Pride Parade with Mars Pony and Artemis Pony.  My dear, best friend Astra held my reins.  We were awarded BEST Float/NOT from the Gayborhood.

Go US!!!

Washington DC May 29 – June 3

This was my first time at The Hilton in Dupont Circle.  Yes, I checked out the “private” passenger loading possible on the lower level.  The car drives in, the two doors go down – in front and in back of the car, the passenger loads in, the door in front of the car open sand the car drives away.  There was a lot of thought and money that went into making VIP feel safer.

I loved my room with a view over the front circle driveway.  I’ve had rooms that were more spacious but Hilton is always to be counted on to have a good room with plenty of space around the beds, nice linens and amenities, and a clean hotel.  I didn’t feel crowded in my room.

This week brought me many different types of play (Sensual domination, Teacher/schoolgirl roleplay, exploring the D/s dynamic, Body worship, Mrs. Robinson roleplay, and Service Topping come to mind).  I love the variety, continued explorations with repeat clients and fun times together.

I found a new market in Dupont Circle, Glen’s Garden Market.  Easy couple of blocks to buy soy milk, get a latte, fresh deli foods.  So great to find because then I am not eating in restaurants and dining on sugar, fat and salt.  I’ll stick with Caffeine and soy, finding some grilled veggies, fresh fruit and protein.

And once again we chat about toys…You want to bring a toy?

In general, I only use my bag of toys. That is why I lug that 50 lbs suitcase around.  It has a bit of everything.

To keep my toys, gear and tools clean I wash my toys in soap and water or spray with alcohol and wipe with a clean rag or spray with Dapple or Before and After Toy Cleaner, it depends on what they are made of.  Covering a toy with a condom first always makes clean up after so much easier.  I always appreciate my clients assistance with this step being taken by them when I’m tied up.  😉

Cleaning non-porous materials:   glass, stainless steel, hard plastic, and silicone

Glass: Wash glass toys with soap and water. Pyrex toys are dishwasher safe. Do not expose glass to extreme temperatures.

Stainless Steel: If attached to an electrical device, use warm soapy water, being careful not to submerge any electrical components. If there are no electrical components you have 3 options: Boil or soak in a bleach-water solution (50:50 ratio) for 10 minutes, or place it in the dishwasher.

Hard Plastic: Clean with anti-bacterial soap and water. Do not boil.

Silicone: You can choose from 3 options to clean a silicone toy. Either boil for 5-10 minutes, put it in your dishwasher (on top rack), or wash with anti-bacterial soap and warm water. Do not boil silicone vibrators because you will destroy the vibrator mechanism.

Cleaning porous materials:   rubber, vinyl, cyberskin, nylon, and leather

Rubber materials: Rubber materials are porous and difficult to clean. In addition, their composition is not always known or may contain phthalates, chemicals which have been shown to be harmful to your health. For these reasons, always use condoms with these types of toys.

Cyberskin and Vinyl: Cyberskin is soft and porous, often used for dildos. Wash cyberskin and vinyl toys delicately with warm water only. Air dry.

Nylon: Nylon harnesses and toys can be machine or hand washed with a mild anti-bacterial soap.

Leather: Wipe leather products with a damp, soapy cloth or with leather cleaner. Do not soak leather. After cleaning, you may recondition your toy using a leather conditioner. Protect metal parts from tarnish by applying a coating of clear nail polish.

How do I know what you have done with a toy prior to seeing me?  I don’t.  I know, YOU are truthful but some guys aren’t.  Unless you bring a toy still in the box and sealed, I have to wash it first, that is, provided I approve of it.  The same goes for crops, paddles, sticks, anything that you bring that will placed on my body.  You are always welcome to bring toys that go in your boy or on your body or are used on your body.

On Liking to Wear Great Clothes

I read a post by someone and feel the need to expound on this subject.

Mistress Lilianne and I have talked about our “liking” of great clothes.

Both of us had less as children and made promises to ourselves that when we were responsible for ourselves we would look the way we feel about ourselves.

Thus the clothes and care in putting them together. The grooming (hair, nails, body) care, the clothes, it represents to us loving ourselves. It is a ritual of care and love we give ourselves because at a point in time as young children we were needy for that, and we promised ourselves that we would not be needy when we had control of that part of our lives.

Great looking clothes don’t always mean we spent a lot of money. We both are blessed to receive gifts from people that want to show they care. That we care for ourselves and love ourselves is an inner light that people see more than the clothes. It makes the clothes look better. The same outfit on another person would not look the same if they did not feel as yummy about themselves in a very important, balanced, self-confident, secure way.

Judging. It swings in all ways.

Judging a person as shallow because they look good/chic and not bothering to see what substance they are as a person inside is still as prejudiced as dismissing a person who is neat/clean but not wearing designer clothes.

I am guilty of giving money to homeless people, down on their circumstances people that I notice are bathed and as clean as they can be. I figure they found some way to care for themselves at the salvation army or ymca or something. I have few times run into these people later, and they have some job. People that care for themselves will better their circumstances. It is a natural progression.

I understand the point of someone making a big to do about how nice their clothes are, being a pompous ass, yes, who wants to be around a person like that – but a pompous ass with misplaced values on having “things” rather than placing value on how he can make a difference is a whole other bad smelling dish than someone that always looks good.

Well put together people ROCK, on many levels.

This week I googled “Robin Pachino”

I would catch this for free while it’s up for you:

Long Beach Pride Parade Sunday May 19

Long Beach Pride parade 2013

Step Off for the parade was 10:30 am. We were entry #46, so our wait wasn’t very long. We marched down Ocean Avenue from Lindero Avenue ( well, a tad more because we were stacked up in “staging”) to Alamitos Avenue.

TigerSD took my reins dressed in her dashing Canadian Mountie leathers. **swoon**

It was so fabulous, the parade crowd was into it, I had a fellow Pony to trot/canter with, pics taken everywhere. Standing up for diversity. Yes!
