My trip to London and Berlin, Part Four: London

This trip, I stayed at The Crowne Plaza Hotel, 100 Shoreditch High Street. It is a good location to walk to the Liverpool Street Train Station which is also a metro stop. Only a few block more is The London Bridge. It is, of course, the replacement of the 1831 London Bridge that sits in the desert in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, United States. From the London Bridge is a clear view of The Tower Bridge, which was the bridge the person who bought The London Bridge really wanted to buy, but he was confused.

And here is the north view from The London Bridge

Also within walking distance is The Bank Center. These buildings are incredible.

If you are in London, I recommend going to the New London Theatre to see WarHorse The Show.

WAR HORSE is a powerful, harrowing and ultimately uplifting story of one of the million horses that were sent to the front line during World War 1, and the boy who follows his horse into war. This is well worth a trip. Brilliant.

A trip to London would not be complete without visiting Fetish Pleasures

While walking around I found this lovely art to share…

My trip to London and Berlin, Part Three: Monday, Tiergarten, Berlin

Tiergarten (German for Animal Garden) is a locality within the borough of Mitte, in central Berlin (Germany). It was once a hunting ground of the Electors of Brandenburg, the Großer Tiergarten park of today was designed in the 1830s by landscape architect Peter Joseph Lenné. Before German reunification, it was a part of West Berlin. After 1944 the park was largely deforested, because it served as a source of firewood for the devastated city.

It is a beautiful and serene park to walk through. Kevin and I walked the Straus de Juni on one of our previous trips, so this time we choose to walk through the south of the center line (the Straus de Juni) paths of the Tiergarden.

Map of Tiergarten

Kevin and took the Si to Brandenburger Tor, exited the subway and walked towards the park.

There were Horses pulling carts that caught my eye.

The first statue along the Ahornsteig path…

Along the The Ahornsteig Path, Tiergarten, then cutting north walking towards Grosser Stern…

The Grosser Stern!

And walking along the Grosser Weg path…

There is a Gas Lamp Exhibit in the middle of the park along the path, they each have a history plaque and are dated. They are quite fascinating.

Having walked the entire southern path, We opted to take the bus to our hotel, grab our bags, check out and take the bus to the Airport. Transportation is handled by purchasing a single ticket good for a week, all of your rides on the subway and bus are covered and you simply show your ticket when boarding.

This marked the end of our Berlin visit. We promised each other that we would walk the northern paths of Tiergarten next time, we always go to the Zoo (it is my favorite) and we shall plan time to take a kayak ride down the river that flows threw the Tiergarten.

My trip to London and Berlin, Part Two: Saturday & Sunday The German Fetish Ball

Green_Wyvern enjoys his photography more and more these days. Her are at our swanky hotel room. We stayed at the Mercure Hotel Chateau, Berlin Am Kurfunersten, Tirgarten – Kufuersteudamm, Knesebeckstrasse, Germany 38 – 49 Berlin. I really liked it. It had a/c, a small refrigerator, an electric kettle, wifi included in the price AND a market next door to go buy fruit, cheese, soy milk, cooked meat, etc. It was fabulous.

Here I am about to board our bus to the metro to take us to The Dark Side.

The Dark Side Bar had two sides to it, a bar on each. There were small private dungeons all over the place. There was a St. Andrews Cross on one side with maybe 10 feet of play room around it, or there were some bench type pieces in the other bar. There was a nice little man named “Frank” that asked if I would give him some Service Top play, which I did, over a bench. A little bondage, spanking, paddling, cropping, scratching, tickling, and fun was had by all.

Sunday was the main event, with the fashion show. That was grand. Even better was sitting in the back of the main room watching all 500 people mill about and enjoying the view walking by. This room was playing goth standards plus eighties music. Loved it.

My outfit is by dawnamatrix.

My trip to London and Berlin May 2012 Part One: Friday, The Zoo & cocktails

I had a fabulous time touring London and Berlin. I cannot say enough great things about The German Fetish Ball. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so I decided to share some highlights.

When I visit London, I usually see Kevin, a friend I met online, seriously, way back when, before I was subMissAnn or Robin Pachino, back when I was a Goth and I posted an ad on Goth Personals under my Goth name: darkangel924. Kevin lives in Hastings, England. In the past, I have seen many castles in Sussex, England since he is a grand host and takes me touring. This time, I got to get my time zone a bit altered and then we flew on to Berlin. We arrived a day early and settled in.

I love the Berlin Zoo. So, Friday, we were off to the Zoo. Note the Zoo Street Sign:

We arrived in time to see the Big Cats being fed. At the Berlin Zoo not only do the Big Cats have incredibly wonderful outside enclosures, the back portion is viewable to Zoo goers also.

Next I am off to see the Zebra’s. There is a little herd of them with young one’s!

Another sign, being from Los Angeles, this was good to know.

Next were the bears….

Just in case….

Cause he is no teddy bear. However, I cannot imagine a smart person accidentally diving into his swimming pool.

and here are the Aussie Ponies! I really like them. They are rugged.

And my last share from the zoo, is the wolves.

I enjoy this zoo because the enclosures for the animals are big and unique, the animals all have luxurious shiny coats, and most of the animals have babies. It is always pleasant here in May and lovely to walk about.

Friday evening, for the German Fetish Ball, the event was the Cocktail Party. On the wall were kinky film shorts from the 40’s and 50’s. I found them fascinating, especially the 40’s era scenes of nuns disciplining young nuns (the young ones are topless and flogged hard). It was juicy, erotic, pussy pulsing stuff. I finally understood Nun Fetish.
